Margaret Eisenberg, CMT, SEP offers beautiful powerful Massage & Bodywork. She combines slow profound Deep Tissue work & Myofascial attention, Swedish flow/integration, Subtle techniques (such as Craniosacral and Jin Shin Jyutsu), and lots of Intuition & Presence. Margaret is also delighted to offer Craniosacral Therapy Sessions, as well as Pre-natal massage. Margaret offers both a nourishing connecting flow, and focused attention to specific Challenge Areas. She uses varied techniques to address a given issue; and works to help unwind other areas of your body connected to your primary area of discomfort. A bodywork session with her can be gentle and/or intense.Margaret is aware that clients’ mental-emotional stresses are often carried in their bodies; she incorporates respect & awareness of this into her work. She also knows the healing power and wholeness lie within each person, and that skillful mindful bodywork can support this healing/wholeness. She asks careful questions and empowers you to give feedback, make requests, and offer your own thoughts and insights. Your own sense of your body and its experience is profoundly important.Margaret loves bodywork, and feels almost anyone can experience deep healing and nourishment through informed mindful caring touch. She is happy to support you in your process.Further Background: Margaret has a history of working in the Health/Care-Giving field: She has founded an eye clinic in rural west Africa, care-given for both young children and elderly Alzheimers patients, and volunteered at San Francisco’s Zen Hospice Project. Margaret is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (S.E.P.), having completed a 3-year S.E. professional training. {S.E. is a Felt-Sense/Body-Awareness technique, which helps carefully release tension, discomfort and trauma stored in the body and nervous system.} Her daily Meditation practice, as well as Movement-explorations, deepen her connection with what it is to be a Spiritual being in this vital mortal Body. Margaret currently has no regularly scheduled shifts. On occasion, she does fill in for other therapists.
